M. Kutlu, M.D.
Since Dr. Kutlu began his work in private practice in Morristown in 1996, he has become a well-established plastic surgeon with a reputation for excellence and for abiding by the highest ethical standards. He has demonstrated leadership in his field through his service to the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons and was recently elected by his peers to represent the organization as its president for 2008-2009.
Dr. Kutlu has a thriving practice that specializes in a broad-spectrum of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Through his extensive training in some of New York City’s finest hospitals, he has acquired a particular interest and talent in helping patients achieve a natural-looking beauty through aesthetic surgeries of the breast, body and face. In addition to aesthetic surgery, Dr. Kutlu also specializes in breast reconstructions following cancer surgery and employs the latest state-of-the-art techniques.
Over the years, in addition to caring for his many patients, he has devoted time to the charitable organization Healing the Children, which provides free medical care to children in need.
Dr. Kutlu’s educational background includes his undergraduate studies in biology at Johns Hopkins University followed by a doctor of medicine degree from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, one of the most esteemed medical schools in the country. Dr. Kutlu was then selected to train in a very competitive five-year general surgery residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and continued his training with a plastic surgery fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Kutlu received his original board certification in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1997 and underwent recertification in 2006.
