Dr. Kutlu is a well-established plastic surgeon with a reputation for excellence and for abiding by the highest ethical standards. He has demonstrated leadership in his field through his service to the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons and was elected by his peers to represent the organization as its president for 2008-2009. He has also recently served as the head of the plastic surgery sections at both Morristown Medical Center (2012-2014) and St. Clare’s Hospital (2009-2012).

Education & Training
Dr. Kutlu graduated with a degree in Biology from Johns Hopkins University in 1984. He subsequently graduated from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1988.
He completed a highly selective 5-year residency in General Surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and a fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine - Montefiore Medical Center.
Dr. Kutlu received his original board certification in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in 1997 and underwent recertification in 2006.

Areas of Expertise
Dr. Kutlu specializes in a wide array of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. In particular, he is drawn to surgeries of the face, breast and body when he knows he can make a significant improvement in the patient’s appearance and quality of life.
It should be noted that Dr. Kutlu has a specific interest in breast reconstruction after mastectomy. His professionalism and compassion lend themselves to working closely with cancer patients who are dealing with the emotional as well as physical effects of their illness. In addition he has devoted time and expertise to the charitable organization Healing the Children, which provides free medical care to children in need throughout the world.
Dr. Kutlu relaxes by spending time with his wife and two sets of twins (ages under 10). He is also active in pursuits of woodworking and motorcycle restoration and is a member of a local musical group playing the drums and bass guitar.
